Per @John Flynn’s suggestion, to make the reading order more natural. Not sure about it, I find that the different perspective diminishes the cube illusion quite significantly.

    Not sure.
The previous version is by far more legible, even if the order isn't the natural.

This one looks like inset, that the 3dimensions are inside the cube and not outside.

I hate cubes that are made like this - it gives a very strong optical illusion that the cube either folds out or in on itself. I preferred the 2nd revision over all! :)

Agree with others, this one may have the right reading order, but the cube's perspective is unnatural.

maybe the "conf" needs to be rotated one position to the left (on the same pane), so that the reading direction is from left-bottom to right-top, not left-top to right-bottom. I think the "c" will be more legible than the "n" in the current position. regarding the "W3", this version is the clearest of all.

I think @Tom Arnold is right, but this design really does kill the cube illusion. I think in the absence of a light source, you're inclined to read the previous version as a cube more readily. This almost looks like the inside of the block.

    Was worth a shot! :]
