This is a logo in progress, for a blues society in my old stompin' grounds, KC. There are a couple things that I do like about it, but overall... something is just not right. Definitely looking for some input here. Thanks in advance. Font is modified Source Sans Pro.

If you were looking to minimize, I'd say you don't even need the music notes or the ribbon parts. Either way, I like it.

@Sean Glass Thanks, dude. I was actually fond of the notes and NOT the Kansas City part. Top just felt a bit overwhelming. Anywho, I am not even sure that we will be sticking to the direction at this point.
