More progress shots! After playing around with my previous Marker Comp in Illustrator I wasn't getting the results I was hoping for with my custom brushes and textures. I was creating a set of assets that were too cumbersome to use. It would be easier to use another medium or program to create the effect I was going for. Moreover I wasn't digging the illustration and composition. It looks a little too generic and doesn't have any style. So I created a new comp with some brush and ink. I like this one much better, it has a little more my illustration style, and it will make more sense to create Illustrator assets in this more comic book pulp style. Bigger version attached.

Cool piece! :-) Congrats! @Ryan Putnam
Hey Ryan, based on this awesome noir stuff you're drawing, I really think you'd dig George Weber's No Cash Comics: http://nocashcomics.com/
@Beth Dean Cool! I'll check it out.
I always think it's great to see someone who does web really well also show they can draw. #allrounder
@Philip Clark Thanks!
As a smoker sadly... I'd to tempted to have the cigarette hanging more from her lips than straight up across... it would also appear more "bad ass"... a bit more relaxed. Otherwise she's looking fabulous!
