I just coded a new header for my website
better than a snap. check it live
if you go often to my site, make sure to clear you cache as some things might seem broken at first.
The code is way simpler than before, all animations are made in pure css3 transitions. Makes the whole way more fluid.
sorry about the repeating of mimi glyph. This is a live shot of the site and I think mimi glyph page is awesome so I jsut took a pic of that page...

Looks lovely @Jeremy. Congratulations on the update, well done!
Curious how on earth can you find time to do things for your website and work. And do it all high five.
thx @Julia Khusainova I guess I worked double recently. Also updating this helped me get unrusted on css transitions. I got a little deeper in it, which will be benefical for my work :)
CSS transitions definitely worth the time even for purely personal purpose. You did a great job on that :)
Yes! Awesome dude! :) So you did go with the horizontal "El mustache" ;)
Thumbs up mate!
Looks great man!
Thx. I'm so happy by the simplicity of the code for the mustache "expander" that I might do a small pice of ui with it (like guetting setting on a header or anything similar) and release it with code and psds.
@Pavel Huza Thx man
@Milos Milikic Thank you
@Kevin Anderson Thx to you man! I had already started coding the drop down. And it's your feedback that made me look a little better and go for this one.
Really loving this. The animation is smooooth! Wondering around your site, it's really inspiring (been there before but enjoying the updates ^_^)
thx a lot @Jackson Howell
Nice staches! :)
Lovely little animations, like @Jackson Howell said very smooth!
Very nice Jeremy like always
Nice work dude.
Great work. Mustaches rule.
Looks very nice, love that fact you can hide that mustache bar! :D
Oh Yeah, looks great again!
made me smile
Your website continues to be my inspiration. One of these days I'm going to drop the Themeforest WP theme on my personal site and build the damn thing myself.
One suggestion: I notice the left, center, and right elements are positioned according to the screen width, but it would be awesome if you made it more responsive. On the iPhone, the icons drop below the header. I would have your mustachioed man at the top, and the nav icons equally spaced in its own sub-nav bar that's fixed positioned to the top...
Just so you know your homepage banner is not centered on 1280x1024 using Firefox 14. Also your slider doesn't work.
Also getting this script error in firebug.
TypeError: localStorage is null
[Break On This Error]
var locals = localStorage.getItem("moustache_choice");
edit: that came across as kinda negative, editing to say the site looks fantastic :)
Looks great, odd loss of pixels on the left side of some of the icons after you rollover though (e.g. The Desktop icon).
@Chris Allen Thx man! It is really an honor (and a surprise) to know I inspire other people. I completely agree on making the header element adaptive to size. I'm sure you've noticed I've started to do so (if you expand the mustache picker and start resizing the window till 900px for example) but didn't adapt it all the way to iphone, just because the rest of the site is to ready for it. But I will for sure. I need a clean mobile version. And retina ready too.
@Liam Potter Thx for the feedback Liam. Don't worry about behing too negative or not. Feedback, if it's constructive, is always welcome. It seems that localStorage is bugging on firefox and making the jquery bug making it cascade to the slider window resizing. I got to look on that and it should correct the slideshow at the same time. I have a new mac here and haven't even downloaded fx... my bad. I will look into that ASAP!!
@Graham Beer Thx man. Which icons are you talking about? The header ones, or the mimiglyph page one? Could you provide me a screeny =)?
@Jeremy Sallée ✦✦✦ Believe it or not, but in the time since I posted that, they are no longer doing it (it was the MimiGlyphs). So that is good news, but also makes me look like an ass :D
@Graham Beer haha don't worry man. Sometimes browser graphic display are buggy with css animations (that I give to the icons at the loading of page) so it might be some bug rests of that animations that stayed afterwards.
