Red Rox distortion pedal case design

Client: Dawner Prince Electronics, Zoran Kraljević
Brief: Zoran wanted a visual identity for his distortion pedal and asked for my advice. He pictured it in a retro style, with fire in it, so it would represent something like an old-timer. “Oldie but goldie”. Powerful like distortion itself. He considered putting an image of an old Cadilac on it, but he wasn’t too sure about it. After a short discussion, I told him: “Why wouldn’t we do this?!” So we headed that way. Petar drew the sketch, and I did the vectorizing, coloring and print preparation.
Interesting info: I played with Zoran a couple of years ago in a band called Frivolous Stir. Who would have thought back then that he would be making pedals for David Gilmour one day!
