Wow @kate elspeth - I really like a lot of what you have going on here. Everything looks so wonderfully crisp and clear.
As far as feedback goes (since you are open to it) - I assume you are trying to indicate which social nets are currently connected vs. disconnected? I really like how the green border of them lights up - though the blue check mark seems a little superfluous (or perhaps just a break from the nice circular nature of everything else.).
One thing you might consider is flipping that concept - and focusing more on making the disconnected state more obvious (maybe grey-ify it and lighten it - or add specific indication that it is not connected). Perhaps that would emphasize adding missing connections.
...Or I just might be out of my ever-loving mind. ;)
Hi @Andrew Colclough Thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it :) I understand what you are getting at. I think the user needs to get feedback that they are accomplishing the task and that's why I added the check marks because the color green alone isn't enough to show they are connected. Did you see my attachment when none of them are connected? I kept them all colored because it visually looks better then having them all gray when the user lands on the site and that's why I added the border after they connect the first one and so on. Perhaps I could work on a second approach and I'll keep your feedback in mind.
Yeah - I see the problem. Landing with 4 colorless icons might be pretty snoozy-mcMeh. Also - I think you are totally right to reward the user for setting up a connection. (Who doesn't like rewards! :) Hmm. Tricky.
I'm sure you'l work it out, even if you leave it as is.
I certainly wouldn't advise and radical changes based on my zany ideas... hahaha :D
