    Positive and negative emblems, plus a "wide" version (the emblem on the right can be used with or without a background fill).

    This composite was done in Photoshop simply to get the transparent background — the pixels have not yet been massaged for screen resolution.

    Like them standalone too, but with the titling I can't help but think Universal Pictures.

    @Rogie: It's not 100%, is it... I'm waiting for it to grow on me, otherwise I'll just not use the emblem with the text in that configuration.

    @Travis: This would look sweet on a drumhead.

    @Brendan: Ha! I've been staring at it trying to figure out why I keep seeing a globe when the words are on top!

    I would have wanted one of these as one of those metal bookmarks... if I read. :x

    I'm with Bryan on the bookmark, that was the first thing I thought of. Maybe that means it would work well without the circle? That might be a way to put it into the text without the whole "text in front of a globe" problem.

    @Bryan/Marty: I'm going to look into making metal bookmarks now. Not sure how it'll be cut (I'll have to adjust the shapes so it can be cut as one piece) but I love the idea.

    @Simon: Just another great side effect of a round logomark :)

    Cool logotype. I keep thinking of Tom Watson's icons for the sections of his site for some reason.

    It's also cool how superfluous begins and ends with an S so the logo can stand on it's own or in the middle. Was that on purpose?

    Looking into adapting the emblem in order to get metal bookmarks made by these guys (unless someone has a better shop to recommend?).

    Unrelated: "These Guys" would be a great name for a shop that has everything — logo could be Mario and Luigi's grinning heads with their thumbs pointing at their faces. I know *someone* here can illustrate that...

    @Josh — circle + simple + B&W = resemblance :) Still not sure about color treatment(s) for mine yet, though you can be certain there'll be some orange sneaking in somewhere...

    Very nice. Reminds me of Buddy Rich's bass drum head.

    @J.: Indeed — means I'm in good company :)

    I've wanted a slightly more vintage look for a while, so when I started on the rebrand I went really simple and clean, and it slowly evolved into this. I'm going to post all the stages of experimentation in one shot soon.
