the faux depth of field is slightly out - if the 'coin' is in focus, then the focus on the wood grain should be about where that big knot and coin shadow are, it seems a little further back - a problem if using an auto tilt-shift faker app, something you'd have to do in p'shop.. but aside from that it's flipping ace ;)

Interestingly this is actually a (relatively, bar colours/levels) un-modified shot taken on my little 350D with a 50mm prime (love that guy). The blur you see there is indeed real - it'll be that coin that's knocking it all out.
Thanks for the spot - it never occurred to me that it was actually out.

Snapped a shot of some lovely wooden decking (recently cleaned and re-painted might I add ;) ) for a faux 3D emblem wallpaper.
Old-school 3GS resolution. Working up a higher-res version (this was just-for-fun) of the texture to release.
