   We are investigating the possibility of doing a second W3Conf, in November 2012 (last year’s: http://w3conf.org/ ). I designed a number of logos, this is the one Doug & I liked best so far. Feedback? Suggestions?

    I really really love the colors on the cube. For some reason I read the top of the cube first, so if I hadn't known what it was "W3" wouldn't have really jumped out at me. My mind kept thinking "EE" like Expression Engine or something.

    Same idea, swapped the sides of the "CONF" and 3 to make it more legible. It loses the mirroring of the W and 3 which I liked in the previous one, but that’s exactly what hindered its legibility.
    I also removed the starburst from the background since many people thought it was part of the logo.
