Brian has been working on an iPhone UI and asked me to come up with a cool icon for it. This is what I came up with. What do you think?

Lock was heavily influenced by Artua's Remotely App icon.

I really like the concept and outer frame, but the lock has some jagged edges.

Looks nice, but I don't know if the lock fits that well here. I didn't recognize it to be a lock until I read the comment. Might just be me though ;)

Don't you think the wooden frame is a bit too dark from the bottom?

Love it! And great work on that lock!!

It might make more sense to put the keyhole against a wood background. When I think of a lock, it's usually on a wooden door, not floating in the clouds. (Just my two cents.) Even so, it looks rad!

Nice, Jeff! I think the lock hole could go way closer to black, as it *is* a hole that recedes into darkness. And yeah, maybe the frame is too dark at the bottom.

But I love the bounce light and reflections on the lock itself. Very dimensional. Also, the "locked picture" metaphor is strong and easily discernable. Killer, dude.

@Umar Irshad Yeah, I lightened it up on a newer version.

@Joshua Sortino You find them on doors because they usually unlock doors. You can also find keyholes on file cabinets, safes, mailboxes, chastity belts, and photos in the cloud. :)

Nice concept. Understood it right away. The frame thing has been pointed out, so I'll shut up and give you a double thumbs up on this one.

I like the idea of the blurred picture to represent it's private.

I think the craftsman that built this frame was drunk! None of the grain goes together! :P I think in most frames, the grain follows itself in a path, right?

Horizontal piece have horizontal grain, and vertical pieces have vertical grain? If I were a frame maker, that's how I'd make them.

I like it, but using the same colors for the background as well as the interior of the icon was a bit confusing - it looks like it's see through.

I'm going to have to agree with Marvin, I think the lock doesn't register as a lock right away. I would either go for the traditional keyhole or at least have the keyshape in there. (Like this picture has, for example)

I think the outer border is too thick and also too bright at the top. I would give it 2px with a darker gradient. #281B12 For the top and a slightly darker color for the bottom;) Overal I like it, but it would be better with some tweaks.
