I decided to get away from the script style type for this and into something more Wizard of Oz - y style. I like where this is going but I'm having trouble in a few areas. I'm working on adjusting the kerning in some areas but the biggest trouble I'm having is with the "ti." It might be because I've been staring at it but I can't stop seeing a "u." Any thoughts?
To me the join of "ys" seems problematic; the two letters are also too tight. Lastly, maybe it would be a good idea to get the weight of "M" to match that of the lowercase?
Good call! I definitely think making the weight of the "M" match the lowercase will smooth out some of the consistency. I like how the "ys" is joined but I agree, it is tight in that area. I'm going to spread them out a bit but I'm afraid that if the bowl of the "y" opens up too much it'll lose some readability. I'll have to be careful with it.
