Ink portrait of Congressman John Conyers for The Progressive. He had a fun face to draw. The full image and process shots are up on my blog if you care to take a gander.

Wow. Really great stuff. Looks awesome in layout also!
Thank-you @Shed Labs . Yes, I was happy to see they did a nice job with the layout. Glad you liked it. They're always great to work with.
I always love your b&w portraits, but there's really something potent about this one.
@Poly I think it's his especially wrinkled chin. Thanks @Neil Tasker, I'm really enjoying these ink portraits lately. Nice to get more work like this.
Wonderful lines & shadings, @Jacqui Oakley .
I love ink portraits & this one is just stunning! Out of curiosity, is that ink on a gesso surface? The texture really gives beautiful results! :)
Excellent work - really nice detail.
So, so nice! Great use of grays.
Thanks @Melissa Brunet ! Yes, it is ink on gessoed paper. I love working with a bit of my own texture even with the inks so it links my work together in a small way.
Thanks for the lovely compliments @Dan, @Ivaylo Nedkov, @Josh LaFayette and @Joel Kimmel !
Great strokes - very expressive. The 'looking over the shoulder' pose works really well for him.
