Almost finished this project :) designing homepage and sign up steps as last task. Here is login form which I'm just working on, it is probably gonna change slightly. more to come soon...
-----
update 1: the dotted map at the bg makes more sense in whole thing which I'm still working on. It has some points and connection lines. It's little strong because of that. I'm gonna share soon!
-----
update 2: just attached revised version. Remember | Forgot are not so much like button now.
The only thing - the "Remember me" looks like a button as a whole thing. Maybe try to remove the background? It does have a checkbox already. Same for the "Forgot"
Looks great! Only thing I might consider is trying the password input field with a lock icon instead of the key. It would probably be easier to scale it visually to be the same height/weight as the mail icon.
@Ian Storm Taylor , @Zsolt Kocsmarszky I tried many different orders. First one was just like what you said. But then I ended with this since I think the submit button should take place at the end. I'm gonna give it a second look though. Thanks,
So I was looking for a nice design to code up and play with at the weekend for fun. I love Oykun's work and wanted to code up the original to this shot.
I started tweaking and making changes to it and added some new elements. It's not the finished article, it's just a quick demo/experiment to prove/disprove a concept.
The idea being that there's no more work involved for the user, no additional steps or buttons, they still click on the username and start typing straight away. If they head straight for the submit button (which is disabled until the details are entered) a warning pops up.
I don't think this would be an ideal concept for mainstream sites but could maybe work on more techy/web savvy sites.
Played with a nice custom checkbox and some styled in tooltips. Button changes on entry of username and password too.
Thought: One concern I had was placing the forgot link inside the form. I think it should keep it's same position but probably be always visible. I kept it inside in this demo to make it extra teeny tiny :)

Looks neat as usual :) but I probably tone down the dotted map a bit so it will become less crowded.

It looks great, but...
Remember (is that even required?) and Forgot has a very strange positon. It is very distracting.

Do consider the thought of @Bady everything else rocks man.

I would rather use simple text 'Login' than a lock icon. Looks nice.

Integrate the "remember checkbox" is a great idea. Top work, dude!

I'd probably change the lock icon to be something move indicative of movement forward (like an arrow) if you want a single icon.
Have you though of trying to arrange the items like this:
email - password - button - remember+forgot
------ ------- o ====

Agree with @Ian and @Zsolt logically the order should be email password remember login forgot, also the remember looks like a button. Great colors!

@Murid Rahhal @Julia Khusainova I was thinking them to be clickable in their whole area, not only text.
I'm editing this design today with your awesome feedbacks! Thanks folks!
