Extremely happy to say I've completed my Higher School Certificate Visual Arts Body of Work!

This is our major project for our final school year and I've really pushed myself for this one. It includes 3 prints, 2 at 1x1m and a middle one at 2x1m. The real challenge for myself with this work was to create it at 300ppi, 100%. That's photographic quality one inch away from the print.

The size of this middle print? 23622x11811px, 4.58GB PSB file. Lets just say, my iMac is glad its over.

All content was created from scratch besides some free brushes made by Andrei Oprinca with Chaoscope that I cut up and manipulated. I photographed the people jumping off a trampoline in my school with a rented D3X and 70-200mm f2.8. The rest of the bubbles were made with a combination of vector shapes and rasterised reflections after blowing a thousand bubbles and studying them. My artwork is more surreal, so I didn't want them to look too fragile. Feel free to ask more about my process.

The project is finished and printed, but the reason I'm submitting it here is to still receive feedback. It's a surreal artwork, so keep that in mind, but feel free to let me know how you think I could have improved anything from placement, tonality, colour and overall form. Please enjoy an (extremely) scaled down preview and let me know what you think!

Feel free to ask about the conceptual subject behind it if you're interested. Thanks!

@Mikael thanks heaps! It really really was. I almost gave up. 30-40mins to open the documents, roughly and hour to save. Luckily with 12GB of RAM and CS6 improvements, it made things a little easier. Still, my patience was tested on numerous occasions! ;)

Great work, as always. I have nothing to say in order to improve it. Perfect.
Is it a dribbble page we see reflecting in the bubbles?

@Romain Lefebvre cheers. Actually it's Facebook as it matches my concept. Same reason the background is blue.

Oh ok! I think I begin to understand what you meant with this work.
But can you explain me your concept? Just to be sure.

@Romain Lefebvre it's about social networks and human relationships. I feel too many teenagers are communicating purely through text-based means like messaging and Facebook. Essentially I see it creating a trap for these people. In this case I'm depicting a teenage relationship and basically they feel like they can get so close to each other yet they're divided by this dishonest form of communication :)

So I was right. Thank you for the explanations though.
I have to say you depicted it perfectly. As soon as we see the facebook reflection in the bubbles, your work take a whole new meaning. Clever.
