Really enjoying the opportunity of leading the rebrand for the coworking space I've been a resident at for over 2 years now. Here's a look at the initial developments for the landing page. It's my attempt at representing all the energy and activity coming out of the community. Strong inspiration from Pinterest, Hiidef and Kickstarter.
It's not 100% polished, but most of the elements are there.

Looking good Dan. Might I suggest trying a different coloured fonts for each content section, that might make it easier to distinguish each group of elements?
cheers dude, Nate and I spoke about the how easy it is to digest all those elements quickly. We're thinking icons for element types (events, tweets, blogs), but colours or coloured bars might be better. keep it simple ay
Love the layout for this. I just jumped around the page looking for nothing in particular. The small headings described the content well.

We sliced and built the last design, to find that most of the people we showed found the background distracting. That feedback led to this version. We lost the tilt on the photo mosaic, kept it in accord with the document grid, pulled it out of the background and into the flow and used more of the 'chapstick' red.
Let me know what you all think. I'm keen to hear feedback.
