May Day Event Invitation

Australis Music Group did not have a solution for how to communicate the growth of their company to its dealers. They needed to be involved in the fight to change lockout laws and save the live music industry. The objective of this project was to create an event campaign that expressed Australis Music Groups luxury musical instrument range while evoking change in government lockout laws.

The name MAYDAY expressed a call to action; it expressed the urgency to get involved with the “Keep Sydney Open” movement.

Mayday is an emergency procedure word used internationally as a distress signal in voice procedure radio communications often in times of war. I used an Art Deco theme, that first appeared in France just before World War I. Art Deco expressed luxury, architecture and the industrial revolution. These influences resulted in a style of the MAYDAY event.
