Taking into account that this is a new way of showing this info, I would like to see some visual hint that there is a counter. Taking the fun of exploring (hovering) and context out, this could very well be a button that simply takes the user to the Twitter website.
Nice animation, but I agree with @Paul Ungureanu. I'm not sure I see the value in hiding information from the user. Maybe seeing the button in context would change that.
@Leonardo Manzi More or less. I just tried making a quick little mockup. As far as animating the flippy-coin button--working perfectly. However it'd probably need Javascript to properly trigger the animation on a mouseover (and swap animations on mouseout), update the text on the fly (guess PHP could do that server side...), etc.
@Eddie Lobanovskiy If you feel like sending the source files my way I'll add them into a little demo page. :)
@Paul Ungureanu@Nick Sloggett@Bill Gaines I see what you're saying but I don't think this should be an issue as this would be used to share blog post, pages etc it'd be sitting some where in line with other sharing buttons. Most times these type of buttons wouldn't even have count but this one would have a little surprise. Right now it might just look confusing since it just sits here all by itself. Do you know what I mean?
@Bill Gaines true, and yeah that's the plan... I believe if it's used as share button, counter will be just a little addition to it. ;)
@Dash haha haven't done many gif's lately, finally decided to try one :D
@Julia Khusainova thank you, and yeah someone here might just do that... would be cool.
@Caleb Khazoyan hey man, that's cool if you want to play with it here's original PSD http://d.pr/f/ZsO5 you can make a rebound to this shot :) Would love to see it in action!
@Chris Biron thank man, and what do you mean copying the mouse in/out?
@Rune Madsen haha i thought no one would ask about it, i was not 100% on it either... good eye bro!
@Jeffrey Jorgensen hehe thank you bro, and yeah i just thought i'd try something a bit different... wait... i think i just got another idea (if I have time I'll dribbble it next week) ;D

I am not too fuzzy about the first bounce/wiggle before it spins around in either direction.
Otherwise, neat concept.

@Chris Biron Just got it working with mouse in/out, though again, requires JS (jQuery in this case). :)

Call me ignorant but what'd you use to build an animation like this? After Effects?

@Adam Blair yes, it was a quick little After Effects project.
