Ruehl Painting

This is an original painting inspired by Jasper Johns, for a series of tee graphics. His method of masking of layers to build depth and dimension in his works has always inspired me.
I love that in the finished piece I was able to preserve the brush and paints textural qualities. The extra time spent separating the art was time well spent.
