What if the Greek goddesses were fashion goddesses? I started toying with the idea and here is what I imagine Persephone to look like. She is simple yet chic, preferring floral & vegetal patterns that give her an aura of art nouveau, slender in build – almost willowy. She has an introverted, almost shy stance (probably from her overbearing mother and being abducted by Hades and all) and is very close to nature.
I thought it would be fun to post a photo of my computer screen with a work in progress. Here is Persephone being colored in Photoshop. As you can see, my workspace is quite simple, and my screen a bit dusty… Attached, you can see the image as a direct save. I think she’ll turn out quite nicely, even if there is a colossal amount of work to be done… Allez, courage (that’s French for “Be brave”)!
