* The first icon was too washy, it didn't has the "tastiness" of all iOS-apps icons :)
* iPokédex (a new name has been found) will include more than *just* pokémon informations, so it's not a Pokédex anymore, the icon has to reflect that change. Here is why I used the bag from Pokémon Platinum (I know you recognized it) as the main metaphor.
* Bonus reasons : I was boring on saturday night :-D
Yeah, but as I said, the app will be a "companion" for the player, so I used the bag (from Pokémon Platinum) as the main metaphor :) I should mention it before :p

I made this for two main reasons :
* The first icon was too washy, it didn't has the "tastiness" of all iOS-apps icons :)
* iPokédex (a new name has been found) will include more than *just* pokémon informations, so it's not a Pokédex anymore, the icon has to reflect that change. Here is why I used the bag from Pokémon Platinum (I know you recognized it) as the main metaphor.

What do you think ?

I think it is a nice icon, but a Pokeball isn't supposed to be red? Isn't the main color of your application red?
The central circle looks to big by the way.

I understand the metaphor, however it still doesn't fit the style of your application design.

Moi je connais rien de Pokemon, donc le sac je l'ai pas vu, mais l'icone me plaît.
