    As per the feedback, I've altered the logo shadowing and changed out the intro font to Palatino Linotype to allow for a heavier weight. Better/worse?

    Definitely better than the last. The title is clearer and the paragraph that follows is easier to read (with the exception that the st ligature is a little distracting).

    I still feel that the original has more character but hard to say without seeing more context.

    Thanks for the tips. I'm going to continue with both versions and see how they turn out. Once finished, I'll upload full screens which should give a better idea of how the whole site will look and work.
