Here's a big preview of the modal that appears when clicking on the search icon. I'm thinking of using a similar effect that Ben Cline used on the National Park app. Will see. Not sure yet :)

Looks great, we just did the same effect on an app and it ended up being very cool on the iPhone. I'd say prototype it and see what you feel about it for this app... The switches are wonderful!
