Chrome iOS app icon re-imagined

I have been trying out the Chrome app on my iPad since its release. Thought the original app icon was a bit bland and wanted to try and see how I would have approached it differently, and this is what I come up with.

Slightly more tactile, with the Chrome identity expanding beyond the circle to the rest of the icon, translating from the desktop OS icon.
