This screenshot depicts my recent concept which allows you to switch SpringBoard folders without leaving the current folder you're in.

Hey, you beat Apple to the punch. They have this same effect when switching between albums in iTunes 11.

Six months ago, I conceptualized a method for easily switching folders on the iOS SpringBoard. I said it could be done by swiping left or right in a folder to move to the next folder. You can go over as many times as there are folders and of course go back and forth.
This concept is now a reality. It was added to OverBoard by Ryan Petrich a few months ago. Find it on Cydia.
Hopefully this one day makes it to the OS X Launchpad – two finger swipe to move between folders.
