I guess I'm going to be the one douche here but I don't care for this. I mean you've got an orange box under a lighter grey box and the lighter grey box has 8 darker grey little boxes in it, then you've got white boxes (article previews) inside the lighter grey box that's over the orange logo box, it's too stiff.

Sorry, I got to agree with @Allen Lawson. I absolutely love CSS-Tricks and the current design has a great unique style to it. I'm sure you have some bigger picture in mind but what I can see from the dribbble shots, I'm quite wary of the new direction.
