    @Ollin Do you think a 1px border would have looked better on the large version?I thought it was natural to make everything 2x for twice the size.Regarding ideas, I've made a folder where I put inspirational images (mostly stock) that I find over web.When I get free time, I go through the images and pick a concept that I think is both challenging and doable :) I don't trace the images though; just use them as reference.

    @Asher I never use borders of any sort, only inner shadows/outer shadows with steep curves. Looks much better imo. And, that is a really good idea regarding inspiration, I will have to try it out :) share that folder sometime
