Looks great, man! Love how clean and simple it is. Nice change on the live version to the facebook-blue, I too thought this blue was too violet.
I also think that your logo should be changed to the one with the orange-ish bg (as on fb), purple bg (as on dribbble), or metallic bg (as on twitter).
That way it is different from the social network colours, right now the light-blue associates it with Twitter.
Also, idk if you want to put that about Kashmir. Meaning, well it is not-that-well-known, but Led Zeppelin, considered one of the most successful (rock) bands ever, wrote a somewhat famous song about their trip there.
When I tell people where I am from, I say, "Have you heard of Led Zeppelin?" "Have you heard of their song, ' Kashmir ' ?" I'm from there.
I like it. The only thing that's bothering me is how the last sentence wraps to the second line. I would shorten the sentence to make it all fit in one line.
It'd look good if you centered the background pattern. Everything would line up perfectly!
A few suggestions to eliminate wordiness. Brevity is the soul of wit!
"Hey! I am Haziq, a young interface designer from Kashmir. Currently in high school, I spend most of my time freelancing, creating stock files and freebies on the side.
While I build my site, check me out on or get in touch through:"
1. You have a "window" on the last line.. "using". Also, the word "while" looks too far to the left compared to the rest of the text. It creates an unbalanced look to the design. You need to fix both of these.
2. Why is the Facebook button purple? This is pretty bad... It needs to be consistent with the Facebook blue for recognition by users.
3. You use pink for the link color in the text, but this looks like the Dribbble pinks. I would use the same blues as you have in your logo at the top.

1 thing; On my screen the twitter bird looks blurry compared to the other icons, or has a different shadow.

Sweet! Loving the dark : )
Not a fan of "using..." being the only word in the last line. Also that blue seems too awesome to be Facebook blue ; )

Thanks peeps! :)
@Eelco Guntlisbergen Call me lazy. I downloaded the PNG from Twitter's branding guidelines page and resized it. Yes, I am lazy.
@Jed Bridges Umm, yeah, easy fix. Haha, thanks! :)

@Haziq Mir Looks great, that facebook blue doesn't seem to fit in. That's my opinion at least ;) Great job though!

That Led Zeppelin song is very well known!
On the other hand, very nice... The buttons turned out much better the second time around.

Nice, drop that banner with a css transition on page load, and it is bad ass.

Like the simple look, but here's some feedback:

Hope this helps!

Small typo:
"Currently, going through high school, I spend most of my time freelancing, and creating stock files and freebies."
Should be:
"Currently, going through high school, I spend most of my time freelancing and creating stock files & freebies."
Love how clean it is. Great design!

You're blessed with the most perfect initials to make a truly great logo.

How about trying out the black bg starting from somewhere half vertically from the logo in blue ?
And also don't know why but i think the circular gradient background looks gagged in my browser (Firefox 13.0.1)
