Buddy of mine needed a new logo for his Commercial Solutions Business. They wanted a feather with a cross. The one for the main shot has a "W" at the bottom. PLEASE PLEASE give me some feedback!

TAKE A LOOK AT THE ATTACHMENTS, WORD. ;)

Note - I only had 2 real days of work to make this happen & this goes to print this week. So trying to finalize and get good feedback for the client as well. Anything you all see or think will be most appreciated.

In Review_v1 you have an itteration of this logo that has the heavy black outline around the feather, I'm not sure if its the shape of the "cut outs" along the edge or the thick black line, but I feel like that high contrast or shape, work better, it gives off more of a solid feel than this particular one does. I love this concept overall much better but that that outline or something about that version just sits better with me.

The other minor thing that I keep thinking about (not until I knew it was supposed to be a feather specifically) was that the stem gets thicker the closer it gets to the bottom of the feather. Just something to think about.

If you don't change a thing, I'd still think this is a great mark!

These are great concepts! Your feathers are so rad! I think feathers number 2 & 3 on the second row of Review v1 are your best. And as important as the cross is, if you're client is ok with having the feathers upright, I think they'll make for a better logo. My only recommendation is that you keep trying different typefaces. Try "Just Say Wynn" in all caps with "Franchise" Bold wieght and the "Commercial Services" in all caps with "Novecento Wide" Book weight.

Really nice Mike. Personally, I love this feather version as I think the cross is just the right balance between subtle/natural and noticeable. As a mark by itself (especially in the single colour like this), I think it's really strong.

In the composition with the name though, I would suggest keeping them a little more separate as the modified 'J' to fit alongside the curve of the feather looks a little forced to me. I do like your idea for it, but I think it would look more natural and spacious without that connection.

@mike. @Joel Reid @Claire Coullon thank you heavy hitters for the feedback, agreed across the board. I will be posting what they choose tomorrow. Claire I will try the non connected way and Joel def the fonts suggestions. I was having a hard time with that. Thank you all again!!!
