This is the poster that I have been working on for the Roots Festival. This is one of many "marketing" projects that I convinced them to hand to me. =)

The QR code might be a bit unnecessary, because I never seen anyone actually scan one of those. A short link might drive more traffic. May I ask why?
I like the gradient colors and the cute illustrations, the typeface is wonderful. Your custom typography is brilliant.

@Zack Smith Looking great. I am assuming this will be a printed piece? If so, you might want to look at the contrast between the color applied to the type on top and color gradient of the sky. My little personal analog test is to stand away from the monitor and see if I can still make out the letterforms.

@Viktor Bijlenga Hey Viktor, I agree with the QR thing. Although, I would have to say that there are mixed opinions on the use/relevance of them. Unfortunately, in this case, I had to get this past a committee and that is what they wanted. Oh well. Thanks for the kind words!!
@Erik Ford Thanks. Indeed. Yeah, I wondered about that too... it has been a LONG time since I have done any TRUE print work... I will give that a shot. The final is going to be pretty damn big (22x28)... I was hoping that would save me. Really appreciate your feedback, dude! Cheers!!

@James Alford Thanks! Gochi Hand, Just Another Hand for the lineup and Coming Soon (skinny one). "Roots", Friday + Saturday I did by hand with a marker.
