Oh mii, the first one is absolutely beautiful :) The other one also looks great, I'd just say the pin could be a red colour and slightly overlap the width of the road, just to make it stand out a bit more.
The first one kinda reminds me of a pillow, seems too noisy and saturated, and the second could do with some work too, looks a little plain, but it's nice and clear :)
@Haydn Woods In the second one, that's the kind of feel I wanted to portray. A very clear, simplistic feel that would still look good when it was downscaled on screen. In the first, The noise is purposely there for a more grungy look on the map. The saturation is there because there are only two elements on this picture - the sea and the land, meaning that it needs to stand out. Thanks for the critique though! I will take it into account.

Love it! The colors on the right icon looks kinda pale, I'd suggest makingnthe colors of the roads a little "stronger" and less white-ish.
