Work in progress of a concept I'm proposing to a client. There will be about 6 different aliens (game characters) sitting on futuristic chairs like this one. This won't be an app icon, just graphics to promote the game. This is something I just hacked together in photoshop but the final chairs and game characters will be done from scratch in Maya with different textures , reflections and a lot of other details.
I'll keep posting progress updates...

"Just hacked together in Photoshop"... It looks like 3D to me :) Well done
Love the concept, kinda Men In Black futuristic chairs.
Aw! I wanna just sit there right now.
Great use of the icon shape. The shading on the back cushion seems odd to me, like it's deflated or something.
Your not aloud to use the words "..just hacked together in photoshop.." when it's something this stunning..
cool chair.. looking forward for aliens..
@jonathan olsen @Tobia Crivellari @Jeff van Steijn @Damian Hernandez @Tanveer Junayed @yolky @Matthew Daniels @Aaron Moody @Deepak Jose - Thanks much for the comments guys. I'm really excited about being involved in this project, the game is from a big publisher (can't disclose name yet) and my work will be part of a huge online marketing campaign. This project will probably go on for 2-3 months.
woah!! happy for you @Dash for having this project :)
Nice one, this reminds me of a different version of that chair that Will Smith had to sit in in the beginning of the first Men In Black movie.
Wow beauty, I'd love if you hacked something like this together for my games =)
@Brad Mills hey, I'd love to :)
Looks super comfy man, I want one. Awesome work as usual, especially for a 'hack' job. ;)
@Dash :: Can't wait dash. Whenever or where ever it will go, you gotta share with us.
Whats up with the shadowing dude?
great depth and lighting so far man.
This is awesome!
Love it man! Such a real look and feel.
It's always nice when people create icons that looks like they're defying the form they have to remain in. Good work!
