Really dig the way everything flows together. the only thing is if is going to be reduced to app size the font choice for "quest" may need to be simpler and adjust kerning to be legible. Also i would rotate the spyglass's reflection to sit at like around 7 o'clock
You're a machine! Looks fantastic. I agree with @Matt Kump?? tho, it may not reproduce when it's a quarter of the size...but I suppose your standards manual could mandate a minimum size.
@Matt@Adam@Nikita@Terry@Shane@Creative@szende@Marian@Kyle & @Ines - Thanks guys n' gals! Appreciate all the feedback, comments and input. Regarding the scaling, I worked out 3 concepts: one iconic, one typographic and one that was a bit wilder and illustrative (this one... duh).
I used thick linework for this one to keep it fairly viable for scaling and it does fairly well down to 1/4 of its size, but still we would have needed a comp mark for it. But we're focusing right now on a mixture between the iconic concept and the typographic. So yes, this one has been scrapped.
@fabio - Cheers brother. Will do a revision on the type and the flare regardless if it won't be used, because I still like to complete every piece that I feel is worth filing as a portfolio piece. So that's valuable input for sure! :) Thanks.
Totally appreciate what you're saying about scaling and the direction you're going in now, but I'm really glad to hear you're going to revise this one anyway because it has such a good feel to it. Love how you did the lens too! Very curious to see the combination of your other two concepts as well.
What I can tell you at this point is that it's a photo/travel app.
They didn't want any literal camera imagery for the logo, so I worked out the mark around a compass, integrating the Q. I also gave the mark a hint of a camera lens, tho very subtle.

Been working on a couple of concepts for a mobile app called Quest.
This is one of them that I just sent off to the client.

Matt Kump?
Dig the look and colours, but are you going to use it smaller than this?

Very nice. Definitely brings up thoughts of Indiana Jones, Jonny Quest, traveling adventures, treasure hunts, etc.

@Claire - Thanks! Yes, we're pretty much done now, so I'll prolly be rebounding it next week. A lot more minimalist than what I usually put out.
