Harambee! Event Identity

The Magunda Maternity Clinic is a volunteer effort to build a maternity care facility in a rural Kenya. Malley was tasked with taking the existing logo and creating an event identity for a fundraiser to help bring the project across the finish line.

Inspired by the eye catching patterns that embellish traditional African head wraps, we created a pattern from the clinic's logo that would become the basis of the identity. This also inspired the type treatment, as the wraps often feature phrases set in bold and simple sans serifs.

The fundraiser met and exceeded expectations, helping to realize phase two of the building, which is currently in progress.
