    This is a site I am building that will include my cover letter, resume, and some other things ;). The layout is designed to mimic the print layout of my resume. I have also made the entire site responsive with retina versions of all the graphics. This shot shows the banners just under my cover letter prompting the user to read my attached resume.

    Lovely colour choice, clear iconography, strong type.

    Try dropping the background texture, and remove the paperclip. I think the two elements, flat/minimal, and photo realistic don't mesh well here.

    It's a really nice bit of work, just think the realistic elements ruin it abit. Perhaps it's because i'm not seeing the bigger picture...

    Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I might drop the paper clip. It probably isn't adding much. There is some copy that says "see my attached resume". The paperclip was playing off of that.
