    I was asked to create a custom masthead for the guys behind the new Pittsburgh Egotist site, and I've officially been given the okay to share the whole thing.

    It was pretty humbling to get this gig. I've been a big fan of The Denver Egotist for a while now, and this is kind of like a big deal for me.

    Excited to see what they do for the community here!

  2. Another mark I put together for the Pittsburgh Egotist to use as part of their masthead, internet avatars, etc.

    Yes, I cheated and used part of this in my PGH Dribbble post, but it just fit too nicely to let it go. :)

    Looks awesome Ryan.

    Might have liked to see just a touch more air in between the words...but I love the style.

    Brilliant work my friend! Really digging on the swashes connected to the tittles. I'm with @Michael Spitz: I'd add just a shade more spacing between the words but overall you're rockin' it!

    Looks fantastic Ryan, love all those swashes (and the two 't' crossbars/'i' dot at the end – clever). 'The' is especially gorgeous as well. It's great to see this in context too, nice work!

    @Ryan Davis @Joachim Vu @Florin Capota @Dermot Reddan @Bart Vollebregt @Mike Jones @Forsuregraphic @Claire Coullon @Faheema Patel - Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

    @Michael Spitz @Joshua Bullock @Neil Tasker @Dan (Hypagraphic) - Yeah, the spacing is very tight. I actually had it a bit more separated at one point, but the client was looking for a very "full" and solid look that really dominated and filled the space they had to work with, so ultimately, I did my best to let the caps define the words, if you will, lol. Thanks for the quality feedback, though!
