@Mark Gilliland you might be right, it does feel a little weird now that you pointed it out. I guess I wanted the "live" and "events" to be a little different, not sure why. I will revisit though, thanks.
I agree with @Mark Gilliland about the style of words.
Just curious, as I'm new to iOS design, I thought splash screens generally display static content: App Launch Images. Just trying to figure things out, and not trying to sound condescending, quite the opposite, but I don't think Splash Screen is the correct term ;)
Russ, thanks for the constructive feedback, appreciate it.
@Haziq Mir I cropped the screen, so it might be off screen as it is, it obviously won't be off center in the app :)
@Jordan Borth Splash screen, I guess I carried that term from web, just think of it as a screen with a loader that would load bunch of data and show the progress with a bar. There's also a logo up top that you're not seeing :)
I like the yellow in the shot but honestly I feel like things are muddy since everything does not have much contrast and has similar shades of gray. It needs something to make it POP!
Love the yellow on the grey too, and also just the general shape of the underline, however agree with everyone else on the styles of text. What if 'live' was the same style as 'events'? I feel 'live' as it is is too heavy and is almost overshadowing 'Relive'.
Also, what if you made the background a little darker? Not black, but somewhere in between. Maybe even a radial gradient going from an almost-black to a grey? That might help with @Moises' comment for the yellow (and the text) to jump out even more.
I almost want to see the yellow underline have a little bit of a curve to it to match the style of Relive... looks a little too angular, but love the color combo too.
@mctrent I don't know... To me, the cursive font and the light helvetica neue are somewhat incompatible—In terms of weight and simply the size of the counters.
If you were to do that, then I would say the cursive font needs to be chunkier to compensate and create more of a contrast.
Kerem, your website is absolutely phenomenal man. Great work. Did you develop it yourself? I love the instagram integration a lot. I'm gonna have to pester my developer friends to make something similar for me.
I would suggest making the whole line the same typeface and weight, but keep the yellow underline beneath the word you wish to emphasize. With one word underlined and another bold, there is a conflict of emphasis in the phrase.

This guy is a part of the splash screen. I don't like the period at the end and will most likely kill it.

Like the yellow against the grey.

I'm also not sold on using a different style for each word in the sentence. It turns them into individual statements, in my opinion.

I agree with @Mark Gilliland here, I kind of read them individually!

Is it just me or the progress bar is off center?

Very nice. Love the yellow and the approachable script "Relive." What type is the "live events" portion?

It's really nice, but i agree, you could do the live and events the same style, that would be lovely!
We are following you now, it's incredible how many great designers are on dribbble.
