@Zach Haha! Thanks! I see what you mean, I think it is the extreme opposite of my last attempt (see previous shots) which was white and pink and block letters.... I like the classiness of this one but I agree it needs some sparkle somewhere. Where though?
@Benjamin – I enjoy the typefaces and the classiness but it is a major factor in the reason behind the morbid feel. I think if you perhaps try and spruce up the logo mark itself.
If you google Six Feet Under you will see more obviously what I was talking about regarding the typeface.

A few steps in a different direction for my redesign... I really like this classic vintage feel but the badge feels weak to me.

Doesn`t feel weak to me. Maybe if it go just a touch bigger, would resolve your concerns? Love it, man. Very, very cool design.
