I like the simplicity, but I'm not feeling the green color, try tinting it more towards white, like the blue.
The shadow effect on the countries is also good, but it makes the part of the countries without shadow seem blurry.
And in the end I think the dashes should have shadows swell as the plane, while the plane should be exactly on the same path as the "line".
I hope you can use my feedback :) Keep it up!

Always fun with small graphics like this.
Kind of feel the arrows are a bit stretched/shrunken vertically. Maybe they should be more circular?
