I've reduced the number of chart bars from four to three to increase clarity at small sizes, and chosen the lovely Effra Standard Bold as a neutral, no-nonsense typeface.

very nice. love the bars and the type.
could you try a lighter weight? I think the width of the downstrokes should match the padding on the inside of the balloon.
@Andy — When I first mocked it up, the width of the padding inside the marque was equal to the stroke width of the H, but the type just fielt too close; it needed a little more room to breathe. However, I might go back and increase the padding to match that of the stroke width and the separating space between the type and marque. Cheers.
To be honest, when I look at that icon, it looks a bit like it's a middle finger. Perhaps move the highest bar to the right? I'd say you could have them all rising as they go to the right, but that might look a bit too much like a cell phone signal.
@Marty — Hah! I did think that for a split second, as the reduction of four bars to three happened pretty late on in the design development. I'll give your suggestion a quick shot to check the phone signal likeness...
