Really like this. How does that space in the B look when scaled down? I can imagine it being tough to print if you scale it down too much. Otherwise, it is really nice.
Hey coach, I am a fan of this. I love the subtle references to logos past and I can see how it'll be a great lil' branding piece in many different applications. But from the very first shot, I keep seeing Naz's Weightshift mark. Take it for what you will. There's always plenty of room for type in geometric shapes.
@Pat Good question :) A few quick tests show it should be OK. I should try opening that space a bit to see if it still works at a largish-size.
@Chance Thanks for the feedback, sir. I'm a huge fan of Naz's work, but hadn't put that together before! The hex comes from the current mark's cube. I can see the two letters in a geometric shape comparison. Hmm. Would love to get consensus (and Naz's thoughts).
Two letters in a geometric shape is not owned by anyone, so I don't see any problem with that kind of "similarity" between this and Naz's mark for Weightshift.
It looks good but doesn't fit the aesthetic of your current site in my opinion. Maybe angling the lettering so it appears to be on the sides of the cube may work?

Some final tweaks: slightly larger text inside the hex, reduced rounding in bottom left of B, vector cleanup, pixie dust, ancient Mayan blessing, etc.

Dan, the letter lock-up is looking really tight. Especially like the color evolution combined with that shape.

Dan, perhaps add a slight upward curve to the top joining stroke? This could compliment the curves at the bottom of S and B nicely.

Needs more Mayan blessings for extra “wow.”
(Love this.)

Beautimous.
Did you anoint it with oils? I think all that's left is to sacrifice a small child or animal on the 23rd hour.

Ah, so #extramayanblessings means you made the logo POP more?

I will miss pixely cube in curly braces (oh, curly braces. I find them even more iconic than the pixely cube), but damn, I love this color.
Way better than orange from previous shot, so, so tasty.
Anyway, I guess, over time this will become iconic as well.
Happy rebranding, Dan (:
