Guys, what about a simple unit converter app which works simple, other than available visual heavy apps . Suggest me your inputs to make it more rich. Gesture are doing basic functions here. If all goes well it will see real light :)

Love the placing of the icon! Very fresh! Maybe add some more contrast in the colors to add some hierarchy in the app?

Thanks guys @Saus yess we can think of different colors. Till now i did not felt any logic behind different colors as this whole currency thing looks connected with yellow color, also the same task is on this single page. May be we can try more contrast in yellow it self. Open to suggestion Guys :)

What are those empty blocks doing at the bottom?

What I mean is that the UI doesn't make sense in real estate usage right now.

If you don't have a lot to tell, don't clutter up the interface. Check @Eric Hoffman's Kelvin for example: http://drbl.in/esBC A bit extreme maybe, but it gets the job done.

@Guido Bouman Thanks for suggestion, it was a prompt idea & design with all current combined thoughts. I will rethink it for sure :)
one thought was that to show currency conversion rate of past 5-6 days to better utilize that space but this thought eligible for currency only not other units.
Also if we leave empty blocks a side then the thought behind using the block pattern was to better utilize the gestures like swipe right to reset units in the block & left to select currency type.

Looks neat but i agree with @Guido Bouman. Also how did you plan to change the unit if i had to change it from currency to another unit?

Also what if i had to change the currency type?

    Hey @Sai Nihas Thanks,
To make any edit changes right swipe will be allotted to each block (whr needed). to change currency type you need to swipe right & on that page you can do that.
To change the unit you just need to do the same on 2nd block where unit & date is mentioned & you will be back to home. As this is second screen not home screen user will first select his choice of unit to proceed :)
For emptiness i do agree but we can clean the clutter.
