I've also had the idea of making this the logo (and title) to my blog. But that means I would need to rename that too. http://kylechicoine.wordpress.com
I like it but I think it could be simplified. Now this is just my preference so take it for what it is. I personally don't like slicing the letters off like that (the top of the T and the bottom of the K) - It feels like those letters don't fit with the rest of the design. Here's my 3 minute take on what you got here: http://cl.ly/HtiQ
Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you, doing an identity for yourself is the hardest thing.
@Sean Farrell Thanks for your feedback! Yes, doing your personal identity is hard. I was going with a refreshed 'K' as that is what my current identity. Thanks so much for doing a little tweak to what I have here. Really appreciate that! :)
I am still playing around with the possibility of refreshing my identity, so I will keep posting my progress when I get to it!
Hi Kyle, wanted to comment a few days ago but was on an urgent deadline. I actually like the logo without the word "design" on it. Like the one on your blog, I think it's clean and unfussy.
I personally like that cut off leg of K. If you're still up for playing around with it, I'm wondering if you can make the K into a monogram KC, representing your initials? It's almost there :-)
@Inka Mathew Wow! Thanks for the comment. I am still going to play around with this. It's a challenge to create a monogram with my initials KC! I'm always up for a challenge though. That makes a designer better, right!? :)
A personal logo is always the most difficult one for any designer. We are our worst critics and can never be 100% satisfied.
Once I get some time, I'll continue working on this.
True... it'll come to you when you're idle some time. Or when you're supposed to be doing a list of deadlines :-) Mine came pretty effortless fortunately. I had it in my head, suddenly pop like an image. I drew it once on paper, then that was it. Then I was praying that nobody had done it before, ha ha.

I like the changes you've made so far. The "e's" look much better.
