Started as a sketch while I was waiting at the printer, reworked and refined the drawing.

I want to step away from being so girly to designing a little more masculine pieces, now that will be a challenge!

I want to make love to that letter.

Well, not really. ;) But it IS absolutely gorgeous. Love the details and flourishes...it's hard sometimes to get them right without overdoing it, yet here everything is so well balanced and plays off of the other elements.

@Brandon Davis Ward that was my second tracing, wasn't happy with the first one.

@Spencer Hamm, @Joshua Bullock really appreciate your lovely comments, thank you!

@Brandon Davis Ward thank you, I made a few tweaks after I traced the first one and realise it was a little off, I'm glad you think it's well balanced.

Only the fact that it's a manual work gladdens the eye.
Regarding all other aspects - I don't know where it should live

@SB you mean in terms of its use? I'm experimenting with typography and also practising with flourishes as I do love both. More or less my work is influenced from eastern art such as henna. So it could be used just as an initial or a henna tattoo. It's more decorative.

@Nayla Smith Thanks a lot! Glad you like it

No problem @SB. I'm going to work on practising much more with different type styles, I guess decor with functionality.

Ahh, this looks beautiful. I absolutely love how you draw flourishes.. they're always perfectly considered and just right, something which is definitely hard to nail, like @Nikita said. The crossbar is gorgeous!

@Claire Coullon thank you for your lovely comments as always! I remember when I was first trying to design them, it always looked awkward, I do struggle at times to make them fit like I was telling Brandon, some of them were off, way too huge or not fitting right. My next challenge is to find a way to attempt more neutral pieces without being too girly.

Ah yes I completely know what you mean, it's interesting how lettering designs can really be angled more at one gender than the other. A good challenge to set yourself in any case, looking forward to following your progress!

Yes definitely, I need to break away from my comfort zone a bit. I think it's also in my style, there are little pieces in my portfolio that has a neutral look.

You got some serious skills for this. This is beautiful, it's hard to deal with so many details and having everything in place, just where it's supposed to be, without any part that you're not sure about. There is nothing to remove and nothing to add in this one !
