@Simon™ Thanks Simon.Yea agreed, I had quite a few simpler options in the final roundup. The mark at the top will be something secondary, far too much to be included with the type. Thanks for the thoughts!
This house-hammer is very nice ;)
I can't stop seeing a nail in your i-t-h connexion, if this t-stroke were going a bit lower, to the middle of the 'i' dot ;) Your type really made me think about construction, good job !
Hot! I love the swash under the straight-baseline version. I see what @Simon™ is saying about the curves, they feel like they are conflicting. Really beautiful letterforms in this, so smooth and nice flow!
Wow, very elegant, while still being nice and simple. Though a minor detail, I agree about the i-t ligature. I like the idea, but it seems to distract my eyes from the rest of the design.
Love this script, especially on the straight angled baseline. Really love the shape of your 'B'! Personally I quite like the 'i-t' ligature – I think if that pair was separated, the left side of the 't' crossbar would look too abrupt and too close to the 'i' dot.
The only thing that looks a little out of place to me is the extended 'R' swash in 'Construction'. I think it feels a little unnecessary and draws to much attention to itself, considering the other elements that are already there.
@Claire Coullon Thanks.Think you've hit the nail on the head. There was something bothering me with this composition, and the R accent is totally throwing it off.It was actually an element from another variation that i just put together on this version (if that makes sense ) Also I tried various things with the ITH connection, this seemed the most seamless, and connected. have one other idea i will rebound tho.
I think 'Construction Professionals' should be positioned on the opposite curve (I hope that makes sense) to the 'Buildsmiths' type (which is oh so very nice btw!) as I think the way it is at the moment takes a lot of the attention away from the company name. Great work though, I love it.

Looking good Ritchie. Definitely prefer the straight angled baseline version. Too many curves in this one methinks.
That mark is so strong, I think that a version with it as hero, could be totally kiff.
