Very nice, but im not to fond of the placement of the tail coming off of the "a" it makes the "- TATTOO STUDIO -" lettering look skewed

No way man! This is a great concept.
For an identity piece you don't want any more complexity than you have anyway. Otherwise it's too hard to reproduce in smaller sizes. A logo needs to work just as well for collateral item such as pens or embroidery as it does in print.
