Really like where this one is going, it's really eye catching and I love the overall proportions. I particularly like the distinctive shape of the 'R' and the positioning of the leg. The one thing that stood out a little weirdly to me is the lower half of 'S', particularly the left side. The very end of the stroke feels a little heavy/flat, especially compared to the upper curve. Those damn 'S's though.. always a pain.
Thank you, Claire! You are such an asset to this community.
Do you mean the terminal on the 'S', or the whole lower portion of the stroke? It was hard to make it look balanced as a form, without sacrificing its character. Do you think I should make it a little more tightly curved (like the top part of the 'S')?
Sorry I wasn't really specific! I meant the bottom-most curve, from about the midway point across to the left extremity. Yeah I think it would work better with a slightly tighter curve, just to accentuate the curvature of the outer lower line (I'm comparing in particular to the bottom of the 'C', whose curve points in a bit more). I totally see where you're coming from about keeping its character at the same time though.

New typeface, inspired by this sign in San Francisco. It will be released soon as one third of the Mission Collection, from Lost Type.
Also, this is my new favorite insult.

Right on, digging where this is going. The leg of the R seems a tad thinner then the other strokes though.

I love this almost as much as whatever letter wizardry @James T. Edmondson is doing. It's like Interstate's slightly simple hillbilly cousin.
In a good way.

Mission Gothic: Lowercase
by Trevor Baum
Mission Gothic has a lowercase.
Working with @James T. Edmondson on this one, and loving every sweet, sensual minute of it.
See more here and here.
