@Spencer Ready Yes this is my doubt: to design everything oversized or not... in fact I'd like to see big puffy clouds here and there, birds, animals and add more stuff, but in the meanwhile I'd like to keep it sleek and realistic...
Looks really cool. Are u using displacementmaps? What about the topography of the ocean floor? Maybe u could achieve a nice effect by including that too.
@Mitchell Bernstein ypu mean the water reflections?
@Torgeir Sollid no displacements, only Cinema4D to make the ground. Great idea for the ground, I'm just trying to find a correct way to fake the deep sea. Thanks
@Mitchell Bernstein probably because it's 3D and the render in high resolution prevents jagged lines, then I masked again in Photoshop using the Pen Tool, so the cut was clean
I had to fight a giant shark once. It wasn't easy but I was able to fight him off using an ancient water based martial art. The manuever I used is called the flying nemo. It consists of first tearing off your scuba gear, hightailing it back to the boat and then calling for a helicopter to fly you away; being sure to take a quick detour to shoot the shark from above.
Seriously though, this island thing is awesome. It seems an attractive place to swim; and if that shark dare attack me it will be the last time he attacks anything.

A render of South America. I created the water and the continent in C4D. The hills and mountains are exagerated but I like them..what do you think?
Perspective is like that because I will probably add some stuff above...maybe some infographics

Agree with @Eli Schiff, that shark is proportionally gigantic. Otherwise this is super awesome. :)

Like the exaggerated hills and mountains, but maybe the mountains are exaggerated just a bit too much?

What's your technique for slant jagged edges? The water's edge is so perfect!

No I mean the border of the ocean box thing. It doesn't have a jagged edge.
