Moving away from gestures and going more towards simplifying as much as possible for beta launch.
Full size PDF of the wireframe attached.
I'd love any feedback and critique—thanks!
@Ivan Tolmachev, thank you! The founder did exactly that—blew it up, printed it out no a big board, hung it on a wall in his co-working space, and wrote "NDAs suck" on the top. Awesome.
@Shaun Moynihan, Thanks so much for creating the iPhone 4 wireframe, it rocks! And it's also "miss" :)
Thanks, guys. @Jim Haakman I use Adobe Illustrator. I try to use OmniGraffle, but keep coming back to Illustrator because it's much easier to be accurate (snap to point, snap to grid), and also faster than Photoshop for work like this.
It feels great to finally move on to the UI design now that we're mostly happy with the wireframes.
After playing with what feels like a million different styles, the look and feel is finally coming together! We went dark, and realized it just wasn't fun. We went light, and realized it was way, way too frilly. Now finally I think we found our voice.
Here's a preview of the drink detail page of our app so far. What do you think?
Actual size attached. Critique and comments are appreciated :)
The drink check in UI design.
The text fields and other important fields appear above the keyboard "fold" (full-size detail attached), and other secondary fields such as location tagging and social sharing below.
Another fan of your work, here; wireframes especially. I also use AI for this and have tried Omnigraffle and agree with your points about AI being simpler, faster to create more precise layouts. Thanks for re-sharing the iPhone stencil; I'll be using this on some wireframes I recently completed and will try to share soon. Well done!

Loving this. It's a good sign when an app witeframe is worth hanging on the wall itself

@Ahmed Galal, haha, that makes more sense. The templates are actually all by different people in the community.
The iPhone template can be found here: http://dribbble.com/shots/599324-iPhone-4-Template-v2
The annotation markers are part of OmniGraffle's original stencil sets.
The gesture hand is part of this stencil set: http://graffletopia.com/stencils/791
Hope this helps!
