Witch with Familiar

I just got done reading "The Witches: Salem, 1692" by Stacy Schiff. It's a great book, but there is one particular moment that Stacy describes during the Salem Witch Trials that I had to illustrate. In 1692, a townsperson reported seeing a fellow villager in the rafters of the meetinghouse while the court was in session. The apparition held a bright, yellow canary between her fingers and was staring at the victim. The human imagination, in my opinion, has been as vibrant hundreds of years ago as it is today (and maybe even more..). Don't forget to check out the attachment, there is a bit of detail in the beams you might want to check out.
