I too was in need of a new icon that fit into Rogie's Komodo set. Though his original set did include an icon, it was prior to the facelift Google+ rolled out awhile back. While i was at it, I went ahead and did my best to replicate the original icon Google provides, thought it might be useful to have a layered and scalable version. The attached PSD contains both the replica and the komodo version. Enjoy!

I wish yours was one-pixel larger. (30px instead of 29px)

The 'replica' is just a copy of google's version, which i measured at 29px so that's why its not a nice even number. The Komodo ones are 32px including the subtle shadow.
If your a stickler for round numbers it wouldn't be hard to adjust 1px I would imagine since it's a vector shape :). Appreciate the focus on the details, hope these were still useful to you in some regard.
